The following notice is published pursuant to Section 95(2) of the Commonwealth EPBC Act. Drouin Highfields Development Pty Ltd is proposing a subdivision and residential development of a 41.35 hectare property at 100 Buln Buln Road, Drouin, Victoria (EPBC 2023/09526).
The proposed action was referred to the Commonwealth Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) to determine whether assessment and approval under the EPBC Act was required. On 28 September 2023, the proposed action was deemed a ‘controlled action’ under the EPBC Act subject to assessment by Preliminary Documentation. The controlling provisions are listed threatened species and communities (Section 18 and 18A).
Matters of National Environmental Significance that the Commonwealth raised as having the potential to be significantly impacted by the proposed action are the EPBC Act listed Strzelecki Gum Eucalyptus Strzelecki and Giant Gippsland Earthworm Megascolides australis.
The Preliminary Documentation is now on display for review and comment, free of charge between 07/04/2025 and 18/04/2025 at the following locations:
